Pre-test Check

Students can take the ACT Aspire Practice Test on any of the following device situations:

  - SBA iPad - from the laptop carts.  TestNAV is pre installed (no action required).
  - SBA Computer Lab - TestNAV is pre installed (no action required).

  - Student Device iPad - Need to install TestNAV App from the App Store.
  - Student Device Laptop - Need to install TestNAV App from the link below.







Student Device iPad - TestNAV App from the App Store
  • Requirements
    • Full Size iPad - the iPad Mini is not supported for testing.
    • iPad 2 or Newer
    • Must have Apple ID and Password

  • Install App
    • Close all applications (double pump the Home button - swipe up on each app)
    • Open the App Store (blue icon to the right)
    • Search for "TestNAV"
      • Select "Pearson testnav", "testnav" or "test nav"
      • Install using your own Apple ID
    • Sign In to one of the Exemplars (to test if it is functioning properly)
      • Username - english3
      • Password - actaspire
    • Once you see the "Start Test Now" button, you are good to go!
  • Guided Access Mode
    • Tap "Settings" icon (grey gear)
    • Tap "General"
    • Tap "Accessibility"
    • Scroll to the bottom and Tap "Guided Access"
      • Move switch to "On" (green in color)
      • Tap "Passcode Settings"
      • Tap "Set Guided Access Passcode"
      • Enter a 4 digit passcode (use "1111") twice
    • Press the Home button to close Settings
Troubleshooting:
    • Memory errors - try closing all apps and restart the device
    • Login Issues (error 9058) - Please see your teacher or Mrs. Pardue



Student Device Laptop - TestNAV Install
  • Close all applications
  • Browse to http://download.testnav.com/
  • Install the downloaded file - double click the file in Downloads directory or from the browser downloads
    • Apple - when given the opportunity, drag the TestNAV icon to the Applications icon
    • Windows - select "Run" and follow the prompts
  • Open TestNAV to ensure it was installed properly
    • Select "ACT Aspire" on the left if prompted
  • Sign In to one of the Exemplars (to test if it is functioning properly)
    • Username - english3
    • Password - actaspire
  • Once you see the "Start Test Now" button, you are good to go!
