Standardized Testing
It is the responsibility of the student and parent to register for the ACT/SAT. It is required that you register online. Online registration requires a free account with ACT or College Board. You receive immediate confirmation of test site and you print your own admission ticket. You get the fastest access to scores and facilitate sending scores to colleges, determining status, etc. Always have scores sent to every college on your list. It is free when you register but will cost to request them sent later. If your student has an at-risk profile or has tested with accommodations in the past please contact Mrs. Cole (lcole@silverdaleba.org) to discuss taking the ACT with accommodations. Visit the Guidance Calendar for testing dates and deadlines or the ACT/SAT websites.
We will also host River City Workshops for an ACT prep class in the month of October. Please be on the lookout for information on this opportunity!
Recommended ACT/SAT Schedule: Fall or Spring of junior year, fall of senior year (generally September or October), and one additional time if scores do not appear to reflect ability, possibly summer before senior year.
