What is Family Connection?

SBA provides Family Connection from Naviance® to give you a powerful interactive link between school and home with an individualized, customized, secure website that supports planning and advising for Silverdale Baptist Academy and beyond. 

Family Connection helps students and parents make better decisions about college opportunities and career plans through information sharing and search engines as well as personalized inventories and surveys. It is designed as a useful tool that begins during freshman year and will be utilized, updated and revised throughout high school as part of our comprehensive college guidance program.

Family Connection will allow students to:

• • Electronic transcript service - Request transcripts online and track progress. 

  • Get involved in the planning and advising process - Research colleges, build a resume, complete on-line surveys, and manage timelines and deadlines for making decisions about colleges and careers.

  • Sign up for college visits - Find out which colleges are visiting SBA and sign up to attend those sessions.

  • Search for local & national scholarships - View scholarships recommended by the Guidance Office. Apply and search for scholarships using a national database.

  • Career Planning - Take assessments to learn more about careers you may be interested in based on your interests and strengths: Learning Style Inventory, Interest Inventory, and Personality Inventory. 

  • Service Hours - track service hours in the resume builder and convert to PDF when needed. 

How do I obtain access?

       Students will receive training through guidance meetings or classroom guidance lessons.  Student login and password information will be distributed once training has been completed.
