Senior Lunch Privilege - Off-campus 

Guidelines:

AUGUST

“Last First Day” Breakfast - It has become a tradition at Silverdale for parents to provide breakfast for the seniors on the first day of school (August 9th).  This is strictly a parent-led event. Please work together to make this a special time. We will reserve the lobby to the right of the reception desk for you to fill with breakfast items that morning (this should include drinks and paper goods).  Items that don’t need refrigeration can be dropped off at the reception desk the day before if needed.


Ocoee Ridge Camp – August 10th and 11th

All high school students will have a spiritual retreat and the opportunity to engage in team building activities during a trip to Ocoee Ridge Camp in Old Fort.  The permission form will be a part of registration.  We will leave at 2:00pm on Thursday the 10th.  We will return by 3:00pm on Friday the 11th.

12th Grade Guidance Meeting – Mandatory for seniors and parents–

Thursday, August 17th  at 6:30pm in the Creekside Theater



SEPTEMBER



           Senior Lunch Privilege begins Friday, September 1st.  This form must be completed, signed in front of a Notary and returned to Mrs. 

            McDonald.  She is a Notary if you need that service.  Email her at kmcdonald@silverdaleba.org to set an appointment.


           Senior girls to Mrs. Hansard's house for food, fun and fellowship on Friday, September 8th.  Permission form coming soon.


            Senior Group Photo - Monday, September 11th - Seniors will leave SBA in their own vehicles at 11:00am to arrive downtown by 11:30am. After the

            picture is taken, seniors will be dismissed for the day.


           Senior Talks Begin – will begin Thursday, September 14th.  Sign-ups will take place after school starts.  Here is the schedule for this school

            year.


Class Verse and Class Song due by Friday, September 22nd. 

Senior boys to Mrs. Hansard's house for food, fun and fellowship on Friday, September 22nd.


Homecoming Dance Saturday, September 23rd from 7:00-10:00pm at the Collegedale Commons.

Homecoming Week September 25th-29th.

Homecoming game on September 29th. 



OCTOBER


           Fall Break – October 9th - 13th


NOVEMBER

          PowderPuff - Monday, November 6th from 6:00-9:00pm


          Senior Cap and Gown meeting - Monday, November 6th during Activity Period          


          High School Drama - November 16th-18th


          Coffeehouse - November 21st - ½ Day - $5 cover - 1-4 Periods - This is a fundraiser for the Senior Trip.


          Thanksgiving Break - November 22nd-27th.


          Classes Resume - Tuesday, November 28th.



DECEMBER

         Deadline for senior’s pictures, (formal, baby/toddler) personal quotes and verses – Friday, December 2nd


         Upper School Christmas Concert - Monday, December 4th at 6:30pm.


         Mid-Term Exam Reviews – December 5th and 6th


         Mid-Term Exams December 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th  - (Makeup exams will be on the 13th - if no makeup exams are needed, students will begin 

          Christmas Break on Wednesday, December 13th)


         Christmas Break Thursday, December 14th - Tuesday, January 2nd



JANUARY

         Grades finalized for Valedictorian and Salutatorian based on first semester grades

MAY

        AP Government Exam - Monday, May 1st, 8:00am-12:00pm.


        High School Awards Program – Thursday, May 4th at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary  


        AP US History Exam - Friday, May 5th, 8:00am-12:00pm.


        AP Calculus Exam - Monday, May 8th, 8:00am-12:00pm.


        AP Biology Exam - Wednesday, May 10th, 8:00am-12:00pm.


        Upper School Spring Concert - Thursday, May 11th, 6:30pm.


        Zero Reunion, Senior Parade and Scholarship Chapel – Monday, May 15th – Zero Reunion – is a special breakfast for our graduating seniors hosted by the   

         Administration and Mrs. Hansard. After breakfast, caps and gowns will be given out before the Parade. The Scholarship Chapel

         recognizes all academic, athletic and leadership scholarships seniors have been offered. We will also announce superlatives and yearbook

         dedicatory.


        Exam Reviews – Tuesday, May 16th and Wednesday, May 17th


        Senior Fun Day - Tuesday, May 16th –

         Students may hang out by the creek relaxing, playing games, and snacking. Parents should provide snacks and drinks.  Lunch will be provided.

         Students must come inside for reviews for any classes for which they are not exempt.  


        Exams –Thursday, May 18th - Wednesday, May 24th.  (Make-up exams are on the 24th.) 


        Graduation Practice – Thursday, May 25th in the Sanctuary - time to be announced


        Baccalaureate – Thursday, May 25th at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary.  


        Graduation Friday, May 26th, at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary. (Ladies dressed in dresses or skirts, men in dress shirts and ties.)
